Cannabis Prevention in Berlin
Gourmet Greens Royal e.V. views cannabis prevention, youth protection, and health protection as an important part of responsible organizational work in Berlin. This page provides factual information about prevention, the effects of cannabis, responsible use, and appropriate support services.
The information on this page does not contain any advertising for cannabis or any encouragement to use it. Internal documents, club-related procedures, and additional prevention information are made available to our members in the secure members-only area.
Why Prevention Is Important
For us, prevention means education, responsibility, and guidance. Accurate information helps people realistically assess the effects of cannabis, make informed decisions, and safely stay within legal limits.
Protecting adolescents and young adults is particularly important. The body and brain are still developing during these early years. That is why we focus on providing calm, clear, and non-sensationalist education. It is not meant to downplay anything, but rather to provide guidance.
Protection of Youth and Public Health
Minors are not permitted access to the private areas of Gourmet Greens Royal e.V. and cannot become members of the growers' association. The protection of individuals under the age of 18 is the association's top priority.
The same applies to adults: Responsible use requires compliance with legal requirements and awareness of one’s own limits. This includes, in particular, refraining from using cannabis while driving, at work, while operating machinery, or in situations that require concentration, quick reactions, or responsibility toward others.
The legal regulations also provide for special protective measures for young adults. A specific review of the legal requirements and the club’s internal guidelines is conducted as part of the admission and membership process.
Consciously Categorizing the Effects of Cannabis
The effects of cannabis can vary depending on the person, the situation, the amount, and the product. Possible effects include changes in perception, concentration, reaction time, and short-term memory. People who are aware of these effects are better able to judge when using cannabis is not appropriate—for example, before driving, at work, or in situations where they are responsible for others.
It’s also important to consciously reflect on your own consumption habits on a regular basis. Taking breaks, self-reflection, and open conversations can help you keep your consumption in check. If you notice that cannabis is taking up more of your life than you’d like, seeking advice early on can provide straightforward support.
In certain life or health situations, professional counseling is particularly beneficial. These include a history of mental health conditions, pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of medications, and the combined use of alcohol or other psychoactive substances.
